Medical Disclaimer
Effective date:
LunaPCOS is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. The information, predictions, tips, articles and recipes in the App are for general information and personal tracking only; they don't replace seeing a doctor.
Predictions
- Period and ovulation predictions are based on your past records and can be wrong.
- Cycles are often irregular with PCOS. If your cycle is irregular, the App doesn't show predictions, because predictions aren't reliable for irregular cycles.
- Predictions are not a reliable method of contraception or pregnancy planning.
Health information
- The App does not diagnose, treat or prevent PCOS or any other condition. Only a doctor can make a diagnosis.
- Body mass index (BMI) is a general indicator; on its own it doesn't describe your body composition, muscle mass or health.
- Articles and recipes are based on current international guidelines and scientific publications, which are cited in each article. Still, scientific knowledge changes and not every tip suits everyone.
- Always talk to your doctor or a health professional before changing your medication, supplements, diet or exercise. Don't stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Emergencies
Don't rely on the App in the following situations; seek medical help straight away or call your local emergency number (112 in Türkiye and the EU):
- severe abdominal or pelvic pain,
- very heavy or prolonged bleeding, dizziness or fainting,
- pain or bleeding when you might be pregnant,
- thoughts of harming yourself.
Mental health
Anxiety and depression are more common in people with PCOS. If you have felt low, anxious or exhausted for a long time, it's important to talk to a health professional.
